PAINT LIKE A PRO: Cabinet colours that aren't white

There is no denying that an all white kitchen can be absolutely breathtaking. That being said, it's not the only option.

Dark cabinetry and especially lower kitchen cabinets, are having a real moment and I'm here to embrace it 100%.

Dark cabinetry will add drama and an element of interest to a space. They're also better at disguising food spills and scratches long term.

Here are 3 dark cabinet colours I've been recommending to clients and loving lately;

BENJAMIN MOORE Wrought Iron

This is one of my go to deep cabinet colour recommendations.

It looks different in various types of lighting and can haves tones of black, charcoal and blue. It's great on cabinetry and works well for fireplaces or exterior shutters and doors as well.

BENJAMIN MOORE Tricorn Black

The truest black paint around - Tricorn Black is beautifully striking and a great way to add a modern touch to your cabinetry.

SHERWIN WILLIAMS Thunderous

Thunderous is a gorgeous deep green with a touch of both grey and brown undertones. It reminds me of the mossy dark tones you see in the earth after a thunderstorm. Like, a pile of wet dirt covered grass and leaves if that makes sense?

It's earthy and so perfect if you want to add a bit of colour to your kitchen without committing to a wall.

This colour also works really well with brown tones so it's a great choice if you're budget doesn't allow for upgraded countertops and you're working with dated selections.
